The first step for all guests when heading to the theme parks is a quick temperature screening and bag check. A no-touch thermometer is used on every family member to ensure no guests have a temperature of 100.4 or higher. Face masks are also required for guests older than 2.
Guests place any metal or electronic items inside a plastic bag provided by Disney and then simply walk through the screening with the rest of their items. Contactless security!

The Orlando airport was so quiet and empty! Sanitizing stations were around each floor.
On our way to the Magical Express pickup, we noticed some new signage. We arrived in Orlando! For those who feel uneasy about flying now, I’ll share some of our positive experience.
✈️ Both our home airport and MCO were very quiet. ✈️ We felt very safe going through security. It was very quick and not crowded at all. ✈️ TSA requires you wear a face covering and we were asked by the TSA agent to quickly slide down for ID verification. ✈️ After going through security, the airport signs reminded travelers to wear their mask and social distance. ✈️ Not all the restaurants were open but most were. ✈️ We flew Southwest Airlines. During the boarding process, they board 10 people at a time in a single line. ✈️ We were reminded middle seats were open and to social distance from other travelers. ✈️ Our flight was only 40% full. ✈️ During the flight, face coverings must be worn. ✈️ Water and packaged snacks were served. We were pleased with Southwest safety measures! Stay tuned for more of our adventures! |
